The 24th edition of Benetti Yachtmaster wrapped up in Budapest, offering a comprehensive exploration of the luxury yachting lifestyle and emphasizing the pivotal role of captains in forging enduring connections between owners and shipyards.

The event, which ran from the 21st to the 23rd of February, welcomed over 300 industry professionals from around the globe, including captains, owner representatives, surveyors, stewardesses, and other stakeholders.

In today’s yacht market, the purchase of a yacht symbolizes the epitome of a lifestyle. The concept of onboard living has evolved to prioritize open, informal, and nature-integrated spaces, exemplified by Benetti’s new Voyager yachts featuring expansive decks and panoramic views.

At the heart of the Benetti Yachtmaster was a focus on the essential role of captains and crew in shaping the onboard experience. The program, introduced by Azimut|Benetti Group CEO Marco Valle, underscored the significance of their expertise in crafting the yachts of tomorrow.

Throughout the event, discussions delved into evolving concepts of luxury and lifestyle, highlighting the need for personalized onboard experiences that seamlessly blend with nature. The captain’s insight plays a crucial role in understanding owners’ expectations and shaping yacht design accordingly.

The agenda also addressed environmental sustainability, with Benetti showcasing cutting-edge technologies aimed at reducing the yachting industry’s ecological footprint. From energy management systems to alternative biofuels, the focus was on enhancing onboard sustainability without compromising luxury.

The second day featured training sessions and networking opportunities, including a workshop on leadership culture conducted by LH (Luxury Hospitality) company. The day culminated in a picturesque “Moonlight Wonders” Gala dinner cruise along the Bel Danube, offering guests a breathtaking view of Budapest at night.

The success of the Benetti Yachtmaster owes much to its partners and sponsors, whose contributions were integral to the event’s realization. The event’s achievements have prompted plans for a repeat in Key West on the 28th and 29th of February, highlighting its growing influence on a global scale.

Founded in 1873, Benetti is the oldest Italian shipyard specializing in luxury yachts. They design, build and sell composite vessels from 29 to 44m and steel and aluminum boats from 37 to over 100m. Their fleet consists of five categories: Class, Oasis, B.Yond, B.Now and Custom, to meet all the needs of the market, and they belong to the Azimut|Benetti Group, the largest privately owned luxury yachting group in the world.
