Coinbase’s Base Open-Source Code for Transparency!

Crypto Layer 2 network Base, incubated by Coinbase, has open-sourced its code repositories in a bid to enhance transparency and encourage public contributions. Smart contracts and scripts for all contracts and deployments are now available on GitHub, along with code for the firm’s deposits and withdrawals. The open-source repositories echo the ethos of the crypto sector and can lead to community auditing. Despite a dip in activity for Base, CEO Anika Raghuvanshi said the firm remained committed to “building a technology that is open for everyone” and plans to contribute to other open-source projects.
