Kraken plans to level up with its own layer 2 network!

Kraken is considering various blockchain technology firms, including Polygon, Matter Labs, and the Nil Foundation, to launch its own layer 2 network, according to sources. Kraken’s move follows that of its rival, Coinbase, which released its own layer 2 network, Base, in August this year. Major crypto companies are increasingly becoming involved in blockchain building as a source of revenue or extension of their existing operations. Kraken has added a job posting on its website for a senior cryptography engineer with knowledge of modern cryptography, including ZK proofs, who could be involved in designing and implementing layer 2 solutions.
