Merc’s full-sized, seven-seater SUV has seen considerable demand in the last couple of years. And with good reason – this off-roading version of the S-Class is one of the plushest luxury SUVs offering a diesel engine as an option. The facelifted one gets a new grille featuring four horizontal louvres, a redesigned bumper with new air-intakes and the latest MBUX infotainment system which includes a permanent slow-speed 360-degree camera feature. The GLS is the first Mercedes-Benz launch of the year and will serve as an appetiser of sorts as it will be followed by eight new launches which will include the likes of the new AMG GT, the EQG, which is the electric equivalent of the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV and the new GLC coupé.

5. Tata Curvv EV
We’ve seen teaser images, we’ve seen concepts and now we’ll be treated to the real thing. Tata’s radical, coupé styled Curvv EV will finally be launched in India this year. Based on Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture, the Curvv will be lighter and therefore offer a greater range than the ICE-based Nexon EV. That said, the Curvv will still, most likely feature the same 40.5 kWh battery on the range-topping Nexon, except its range will be closer to the 500km mark.
Inside you’re going to see a lot of the tech we see on the current-gen Nexon including touch-control panels, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with a 360-degree camera. The Curvv will arrive first in EV form, with a petrol version scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2024.

6. Audi Q6 e-tron

The first Audi SUV to be based on the brand’s born-electric PPE platform, the Q6 e-tron is arguably the most significant car to be launched by Audi in 2024. This means that it’ll debut Audi’s new infotainment system with a twin-screen layout with a 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment screen. There’s also going to be an additional 10.9-inch touchscreen for the front passenger. To be positioned below the larger Audi Q8 e-tron, the Q6 will likely feature a smaller battery, but thanks to its EV architecture, will be lighter and therefore capable of range up to approximately 600km. Packing Audi’s proprietary digital matrix LED headlamps and sporty looks, the Q6 e-tron will be Audi’s most capable electric offering yet.
