Kim Jong Un received a luxury sedan from Vladimir Putin. It is obviously not the kind of gift that you lock away in some drawer garage. The Korean dictator has just traveled in the Aurus Senat sedan to an event that took place in the capital of North Korea.

Both states deny the exchange, trying to keep the West at bay from the ammunition import that is supposed to help Russia in Ukraine. The transfer, however, apparently included an Aurus Senat made in Russia as well. The car arrived in Seoul on February 18.
Now, Kim Jonh Un has been spotted riding in the luxury black limousine that Putin gifted to him after the Asian leader made no secret of liking the car very much during his visit to Russia last year in September.
Back then, Kim Jong Un took a look inside. Putin invited him to take a seat in the back and join him for a ride. The Russian leader was trying to show off. In an official statement coming from Kremlin, the Asian absolutely loved it so Putin sent him one.

The shipment violated a United Nations resolution, which should pressure North Korea to put an end to its nuclear weapons program. The resolution bans supplying luxury goods to North Korea.
However, it would not be the first time Russia defied international sanctions. It sounds like double trouble for the two nations. But apparently, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un could not care less, and their bromance is flourishing. Furthermore, Putin might visit North Korea soon, and he has sent the car there to have one similar to the one he has at home.
That is why Kim Jong Un has been forced to smuggle luxury limousines to the country for quite a while. Mercedes announced that the German automaker had never supplied the dictator with Maybachs. Still, Kim Jong Un owns a Maybach S-Class and a Maybach GLS, but also an S-Class Pullman.
The Aurus Senat that the Korean dictator is now using should be identical to the Russian presidential motorcar. However, Kim Jong Un most likely ordered special security equipment on board his.
Regardless of the equipment he demanded to have on board, the limousine is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, working alongside an electric motor, for a total output of 600 horsepower.
A nine-speed automatic transmission helps put the power down. Top speed is 155 mph (250 kph). How quick it is from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) depends mostly on how heavy it is. And considering that it is bulletproof, the Rolls-Royce copycat surely isn’t a ballerina on the road.
