Blockchain-based sandbox MMORPG WorldShards has launched its Trials Event, providing players with an opportunity to earn NFTs valued at over $100,000.

The event runs from November 18 to December 9 at 13:00 UTC and serves as a preliminary test for the game’s upcoming token economy.

Participants can collect in-game items by defeating enemies and redeem them for various NFT prizes.

What is the WorldShards Trials Event?

The Trials Event is a testing phase aimed at evaluating the mechanics of WorldShards’ forthcoming cryptocurrency token before its official launch.

During this event, players collect Shards Fragments by defeating enemies on Wild Islands. These fragments help players ascend the leaderboard, and their rankings determine the number of Trial Coins they receive.

Trial Coins are exclusive to the event and can be exchanged for NFT rewards, such as Islands of different sizes and rarities and various Artifacts.

Details of the Event

To participate, players need to charge their collectible items in the Collection tab of their Workbench. This action grants them the Attraction Force buff, which enables the collection of Shards Fragments when defeating enemies. The strength of the Attraction Force depends on the Luck Charge and the Luck stat of the items used, with rarer items providing a stronger effect.

Players are divided into five Leagues based on the maximum index of their Attraction Force buff—Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Each League has its own leaderboard and a set number of positions—30 for most Leagues and 15 for the Legendary League. Rewards are distributed based on leaderboard rankings within each League.

Players who rank in the top 50% and collect the required number of Shards Fragments are guaranteed to receive Trial Coins.

How to get involved?

Existing players can join the event immediately, whilst new players can gain access by purchasing a welcome bundle priced at $40 through Open Loot. This bundle includes:

  • A non-tradable key for game access
  • 2,500 Gems (the game’s premium currency)
  • Additional resources to help start their journey

For more detailed information on event rules and reward distribution, players can refer to the official event guide from WorldShards.
