Zodia Markets, a digital asset marketplace backed by Standard Chartered Ventures, has announced that it has obtained approval in principle to operate as an over-the-counter (OTC) crypto broker-dealer in Abu Dhabi. The approval granted by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Markets (ADGM) will allow Zodia Markets to deliver professional investors with a range of digital asset trading services, including custody, execution, and settlement. Zodia Markets is the latest cryptocurrency firm to receive regulatory approval in the UAE in recent months, as the country seeks to establish itself as a hub for digital asset innovation.
