Some Gold.com, Inc. (NYSE:GOLD) shareholders may be a little concerned to see that the Independent Chairman, Jeffrey Benjamin, recently sold a substantial US$2.9m worth of stock at a price of US$47.87 per share. However, it’s crucial to note that they remain very much invested in the stock and that sale only reduced their holding by 4.8%.

Trump has pledged to “unleash” American oil and gas and these 15 US stocks have developments that are poised to benefit.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Gold.com

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the Independent Director, Jess Ravich, sold US$6.1m worth of shares at a price of US$63.58 per share. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (US$45.46). So it is hard to draw any strong conclusion from it.

In the last year Gold.com insiders didn’t buy any company stock. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. By clicking on the graph below, you can see the precise details of each insider transaction!

Insider Ownership

Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. Gold.com insiders own 13% of the company, currently worth about US$175m based on the recent share price. Most shareholders would be happy to see this sort of insider ownership, since it suggests that management incentives are well aligned with other shareholders.

What Might The Insider Transactions At Gold.com Tell Us?

Insiders sold stock recently, but they haven’t been buying. And even if we look at the last year, we didn’t see any purchases. But it is good to see that Gold.com is growing earnings. The company boasts high insider ownership, but we’re a little hesitant, given the history of share sales. While it’s good to be aware of what’s going on with the insider’s ownership and transactions, we make sure to also consider what risks are facing a stock before making any investment decision. While conducting our analysis, we found that Gold.com has 3 warning signs and it would be unwise to ignore these.

Of course, you might find a fantastic investment by looking elsewhere. So take a peek at this free list of interesting companies.
