Outlandish ideas make for outstanding creations, and Pastrovich, the Monaco-based design studio, dabbled in one such idea back in 2015. The 295-foot X-Kid Stuff was an exploration superyacht concept boasting cutting-edge functionality and breathtaking aesthetics. Part of Pastrovich Studio’s Parkour yacht line, this ingenious world’s first “transformer” motoryacht blurred the lines between the sea and the vessel. In her closed mode, she was a sleek superyacht, but when opened, the hangar unveiled a massive storage for tenders up to 15 meters, toys, and Jet Skis. In addition to the adventure seeker’s arsenal, the space could hold a helipad, a swimming pool, an artificial beach, or even just additional sleeping space.
Per The Sun, these detachable and self-powered units function as floating bungalows, with the potential to become a guesthouse of sorts. Stefano Pastrovich revealed the inspiration for the Parkour yachts is the beehive. It was evident in the structure and chosen to offer maximum strength with minimum material. The structure comprises an array of hexagons as opposed to conventional longitudinal beams.
The interior also boasts hexagonal units that could be played with in desirable arrangements to make the most of the living space, which was plenty. As the studio correctly put, ‘This concept design is dreamed up for the new adventurers, sophisticated explorers that deserve unmatched functionality paired with timeless elegance.’
