A day after the U.S. President Donald Trump launched the $TRUMP memecoin, the First Lady of the country, Melania Trump, also launched her own memecoin, $MELANIA on 19 January .

Trump shared on his Truth Social account the launch of an official token named “Melania Meme” ($MELANIA) by his wife, Melania Trump. Experts believe that the newly launched Melania token, valued at several billion dollars, differs structurally from the $TRUMP token.

The creator wallet was reportedly funded by a wallet previously active on PumpFun, and no multisig mechanism has been identified, unlike $TRUMP, which had one set up pre-launch.
The Melania Meme ($MELANIA) market price is valued at $11.74 after a surge of 60.33% in the past day, and its 24-hour market volume has grown to $398.16 million.
Donald Trump’s $TRUMP Market Trends
Launched few days before Trump’s oath ceremony, the $TRUMP memecoin has already found its way to major cryptocurrency platforms, including Coinbase and Binance.
As for its performance, the Official Trump ($TRUMP) market price is valued at $51.21 after a surge of over 81.92% in the past day. Meanwhile, its 24-hour market volume has also grown by over 258%, reaching $40.2 billion. The project has already achieved an impressive milestone, with a market cap of $9.9 billion.
Trump’s pro-crypto move proved significant in his 2024 U.S. Presidential race, and his strong promises to make America the crypto capital of the world struck a chord with both crypto veterans and degens. However, the crypto advocacy was not just a political feat but also turned into a strategic business move, with the release of his World Liberty Financial (WLFI) token on October 15, 2024.
Recently, on-chain data analytics platform Spot On Chain revealed that Trump’s World Liberty Project currently holds 32,852 $ETH (~$106M) and has a significant amount of $ETH on Coinbase, which was deposited a few days ago. The data anlaytics platform stated, “Again, while everyone is hyping the $MELANIA token launch, Trump’s World Liberty (@worldlibertyfi) just bought 4,869 $ETH by swapping 16M $USDT in the past hour.”
