Apeiron Guild Wars 2024 is set to bring together guilds from around the world in an epic competition with a substantial $1,000,000 USD prize pool, split between $500,000 in USDC cash and tokens and $500,000 in NFTs. Alongside the competition, Apeiron will introduce the $ANIMA token and launch the S3 PvE dungeon for testing, enhancing the overall experience for players.
Structure of the Guild Wars
Apeiron is a Web3 god game blending simulation, action, and collectible card games on the Ronin blockchain. Players, as “Godlings,” manage NFT planets and “Doods.” The game features a tri-token economy and allows ownership, trading, and use of NFT assets. Combat is strategic and card-based.
The Guild Wars will unfold in two distinct parts. The first phase involves the Guild Wars leaderboards, running from May 21, 2024, to July 2, 2024. During this period, web3 guilds can register and have their members compete to achieve top ranks.
Upon finalizing the leaderboard, the event will transition to the Guild Wars Invitational. This second phase will feature the top 12 guilds from each region—Southeast Asia (SEA) and North America (NA)—battling for supremacy.
Guilds must register for either the SEA or NA region, but they can choose to compete in both regions. The prize pool will be distributed between the leaderboards and the tournament.
Tournament Details
While some tournament details are still being finalized, a few key aspects have been revealed. The tournament will employ a double-elimination bracket, meaning participants will be eliminated after losing two matches.
The top four seeded guilds will receive a first-round bye, automatically advancing to the second round. The grand finals will be an event held in Hong Kong, with the top contenders flown in to compete.
Guild registration for the event is now open, and competition on the leaderboards begins on May 21. To qualify for the invitational, guilds must earn at least 1,000 ranked stars during the leaderboard phase. Additionally, alt-accounting is prohibited, and guilds must have at least 25 members or 300 followers to participate.
Introduction of $ANIMA
Starting May 21, 2024, $ANIMA, the win-to-earn and player incentive token, will be earnable in-game and tradable on Katana Dex. $ANIMA can be used to enhance Apeiron NFTs and will also be available for in-game top-ups as Animus in the upcoming Apeiron top-up store. Players who have accumulated $ANIMA Airdrop Points will see these points translated into battle-vested $ANIMA on the same date.
In addition to the Guild Wars, Apeiron will launch the S3 PvE dungeon for testing on May 23. This new feature follows the successful open beta of the Apeiron Arena. Primeval owners can access this early build via the #alpha-access channel on Discord, using their own Planet NFTs to test their Avatars in the PvE mode.
