Builder’s statement

We are immensely proud to have completed the construction of Eternal Spark, the first in our 50-meter series, and delighted to present this masterpiece of marine engineering and design, epitomizing luxury and innovation.

This project stands out with its significantly larger and more spacious usage areas compared to its peers. The exterior design and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design, complemented by the interior expertise of Hot Lab, embody a harmonious fusion of aesthetics and functionality.

The Eternal Spark surpasses every expectation set by her initial design concept. As a superbly designed charter vessel, she boasts an excellent layout with ample spaces to enjoy a variety of daily activities.

Berkay Yilmaz, the Commercial Director of Bilgin Yachts, describes the interior of the new Bilgin 163 as modern, luxurious, and elegant. He says, “Eternal Spark is everything and more than described in the brochure! A superbly designed charter vessel with plenty of spaces to enjoy whatever the day delivers. She has a sleek, sporty, and elegant exterior design with huge exterior spaces throughout the vessel, including a large beach club with a sauna. I believe that she will offer the best experiences to her charter clients and is the best charter yacht on the market.”

Yilmaz emphasizes that the yacht is the most technically equipped 499 GRT yacht, comparable to Bilgin Yachts’ iconic 80-meter Superyachts M/Y Tatiana and M/Y Leona.

Halil Uzunbabalar, Senior Project Manager, highlights that, contrary to other shipyards that no longer manufacture detailed furniture, Bilgin continues to uphold this tradition, showcasing it beautifully in this project.

Our large living and entertainment areas on the open decks provide magnificent spaces where everyone can comfortably spend time independently and enjoy the sea. The combination of the beach club at the back with the swimming platform and sauna offers a very spacious area for use while at anchor. Additionally, we achieved top-level quality in our technical areas by using the best materials and the latest technologies for the yacht’s performance and safety. Our design focus centers on creating expansive, sheltered open decks, as demonstrated by the 499 GT platforms. The semi-custom series offers flexibility in terms of exterior furniture to yacht owners, allowing us to swiftly implement any desired projects during the yacht’s production process. These yachts, exemplified by a superbly designed charter vessel in our range, offer an outstanding layout with ample spaces to enjoy daily activities. With a sleek, sporty, and elegant exterior, Bilgin 163 series yachts boast extensive exterior areas, including a vast beach club complemented by a sauna. We aimed to create generous areas such as a 21-meter sundeck, a 12-meter bridge deck aft, and a spacious main deck aft, measuring nearly 9.5 meters wide and 4 meters long. This provides a direct connection to the beach club and close proximity to the sea, all without making the exterior design appear bulky.

Throughout the design process, the longstanding successful collaboration with Bilgin Yachts and lessons learned from feedback were pivotal. The main focus was to enable guests to spend ample time outdoors, which was achieved by maximizing the square footage and enhancing shaded and sheltered areas, particularly in the new 163 and 170 series, as well as the Eternal Spark and her sister ships. As a result, the Bilgin 499 GT semi-custom projects emerged as platforms with some of the largest outdoor spaces available.

Eternal Spark is a key example of a yacht that has undergone numerous customizations, including an extension to her stern. One of the most enjoyable parts of these boats is the aft areas. Knowing that semiplatform beach clubs and main deck sitting areas close to the sea are where owners prefer to spend much of their time, we moved sea toys from the aft to the forward deck, allowing the crew to work more comfortably. This shift enabled us to create much larger and more enjoyable spaces on the main deck aft area.

The exterior spaces of this model surpass those of its predecessors, lending a sportive appearance to the Bilgin 163. The 50-meter Bilgin 163 model is an ideal combination of elegant exterior lines and proven engineering. Powered by twin 1,450 CAT engines, the new Bilgin 163 boasts a top speed of approximately 17 knots with low operational costs.

Interior design statement – Enrico Lumini, partner and design director of Hot Lab

It is really a pleasure to talk about projects we now share with Bilgin shipyard and in particular about this new 50 meters, the Bilgin163. Almost 15 years have passed since we first met and in large part we owe to their trust, together with that special owner’s, if today Hot Lab is an internationally recognized studio.

Our interior design for Bilgin 163 follows the studio’s new philosophy, called “Architecture for Voyagers” and focuses on cleanliness of architectural volumes, and a renewed sense for a softness of lines. A plastic minimalism, sober, but rich in details. We want to rediscover the luxury of pure craftsmanship, of the attention to small details, without just abandoning ourselves to the use of precious materials. In order to do this you always need a great team and this is what we have found at Bilgin Yacht, a cutting-edge shipyard, which in recent years has been able to transform itself into one of the most successful companies not only on the Turkish scene, but worldwide.

This incredible team has allowed us to work in peace with the new owner of this splendid 163 feet, which will be modern, rich, but warm at the same time. Small quantities of wood, but treated as if they were precious inlays. Natural leather, but embossed, giving it a much more refined look, and then soft sense of balance. This is how I would define the Bilgin 163: a perfect balance of shapes, soft colours and great richness of detail. It will be a pleasure to continue working with the whole team in the future.
