A Brazilian congressional committee has recommended the indictment of Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao and three other executives, accusing them of fraudulent management practices, operating without sufficient authorization, and offering securities trading without authorization. The committee’s report also recommended the indictment of 45 other people linked to multiple crypto companies. The recommendations, which are not legally binding, come amid a broader crackdown on Binance in other countries, including the US and Australia. Binance said it remains committed to collaborating with local law enforcement and strongly rejects accusations of bad practices.
