Electric cars are gaining popularity in India and around the world. Manufacturers like Tata, MG, and Mahindra have started offering electric cars in the market. It is not just mass-segment car manufacturers offering electric cars in India; luxury car manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW have also begun offering the same. The BMW 7-Series is a highly popular car among celebrities in India. When BMW launched the electric version of this flagship sedan, celebrities embraced it as well. Recently, many Bollywood celebs have bought the BMW i7, which is the electric version of the BMW 7-Series. Here, we have a video showcasing the BMW i7 electric luxury sedan.

The video was uploaded by Namaste Car on their YouTube channel. It starts by discussing the sedan’s exterior. This is the 2023 version of the i7 sedan launched earlier this year. BMW offers the i7 in only one variant in India—the xDrive60 variant, priced at Rs 2.03 crore, ex-showroom. It currently stands as the flagship electric sedan from the German car manufacturer.

BMW offers this sedan in a variety of color options, both mono-tone and dual-tone. The car’s price varies depending on the shade you choose. Design-wise, the BMW i7 looks similar to the G70 generation 7-Series currently on sale. The sedan shares the same platform as many other electric cars in BMW’s lineup. It features blue accents in several places that differentiate it from the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) version. The BMW i7 sports a large kidney grille at the front with LED lights surrounding it.

Additionally, the car boasts an ‘i’ badging on the grille, absent in the regular version. Moving to the side, 21-inch alloy wheels with disc brakes on all four wheels catch the eye. The car is equipped with ADAS features, and the video highlights the positioning of sensors, radars, and cameras. The BMW i7 comes with automatic doors that can be opened and closed with the touch of a button. Depending on the space available, the car automatically sets the limit for the door.

The car features LED tail lamps, an electrically opening and closing boot, and numerous other features. The vlogger proceeds to showcase the car’s interior. The sedan in the video boasts tan-colored interiors, with various options available for customers to choose from. It includes four-zone climate control, electrically adjustable seats both at the front and rear. Ventilation and a massage feature are available for all seats.

One of the main attractions in the cabin is the 5.5-inch touchscreen units on the rear door handles. These can control several car features, including the foldable 31.3-inch 8K resolution screen mounted on the roof. The car’s glass roof provides a panoramic view of the sky. It offers multiple AC vents, wireless phone charging, a reclining function, a fully digital instrument cluster, and more.

Actors like Ajay Devgn, Shekhar Suman, Kim Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Rekha have already purchased this luxury electric car. The i7 xDrive 60 generates 544 Ps and 745 Nm of peak torque, powering all wheels via two motors mounted at the front and rear. The 101.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack provides a driving range of 591 km to 625 km. The BMW i7 supports both AC and DC fast charging.
