Montenegro’s justice minister has reportedly decided to extradite Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon to the United States instead of South Korea. Kwon, who is wanted by both countries for his alleged role in the collapse of the TerraUSD and Luna cryptocurrencies, was arrested in Montenegro last month. A Montenegrin court approved Kwon’s extradition, but left it up to Justice Minister Andrej Milovic to choose between the two requests. The decision could have significant implications for Kwon’s legal battle, as the U.S. Charges against him include wire fraud, securities fraud, and money laundering, while South Korea’s charges focus on violating capital markets laws.
