Sugababes star Heidi Range has given full insight into her newly-transformed lavish home in an episode of ITV’s In Celebrity Homes with Abbey Clancy.

The singer, 40, is known for being part of the iconic English girlband – but she now turned to something far from her musical roots.

Thanks to the new ITV show, fans got a glimpse of the lavish home Heidi shares with her husband Alex Partakis and their two children Aurelia, five, and Athena, two.

In the first episode of the series, Heidi revealed she turned the property from an abandoned laundrette – The Sunlight Laundry which opened in the 1900s –  into a luxurious living space.

‘When we bought it, it was an empty warehouse. It was just three empty floors, no rooms, no walls and no stairs. A blank canvas,’ she explained.

The former pop star revealed she wasn’t keen to buy the building but her husband Alex changed her mind as he presented a sketch of how the open-plan home could look.

The entrance of the house welcomes with a huge chandelier all the way to the lounge area – as Heidi revealed the fitting ‘frustrated the movers’ because they wouldn’t fit it through the main entrance.

The living room area is decked out with three modern sofas in blue, grey and pink; each one with stylish lamps on the side table beside them.

‘Because it’s an open plan room we wanted to make different zones,’ said Heidi.

They didn’t spare any lavish decoration, as the singer introduced Abbey to a sacred shrine to the pop star’s past – including the Brit Award she won with the Sugababes back in 2003.

Heidi continued showing an angel ornament on top of the cabinet, which she took from her late grandmother’s garden.

The star explained she placed the figurine up high as she believes her beloved grammy watches over the home.

One of the most peculiar features of the swanky property is a red vintage Ferrari, placed inside a glass case below the bookcase – as Heidi joked she never drives it as she ‘doesn’t want to be responsible’ should anything happen to it.

Another area is reserved as a play den for her two kids, including a collection of colourful toys and a rail of dressing up clothes.

She added that the open space facilitates to keep an eye on her kids when they’re playing, she says.

The former Atomic Kitten described her  interior style choice as ‘fun’ and said she enjoyed bold colours and prints.

Meanwhile the kitchen, is decked out with a long row of dark grey cabinets with glass doors and internal lighting.

‘We struggled to get that made because what we wanted to do was regulate the space of the living room and what we were left with was a triangle for the kitchen,’ she explained.

‘We went to quite a few places that did not want to make the island in that shape. They said it wouldn’t work.’

The pop sensation revealed she had the help of an interior designer to make her vision become reality.

‘They obviously know things you would never ever think of,’ said Heidi.

‘Like this is a really angular-shaped building so they said, ‘You’d want to get many rounded objects into the house to soften it.’

‘Which is why we’ve got all rounded lamps, and we’ve got a lot of round mirrors and it really does have that effect, which is something I would never know.’

The stylish design extends to the dining area, where the table is made of two wooden doors.

Heidi also revealed she bought the furniture from a warehouse in Spain, where her parents-in-law live.

There’s also a shrine dedicated to her former life as a pop star – a whole wall honouring to the girlband’s glorious days, including plaques and posters.

Moving to the couple’s bedroom, Heidi told Abbey she opted for a more minimalist design as there are already so many ‘trinkets’ around the house.

The room features a huge floor-to-ceiling headboard and a pink chaise sofa sits in one corner.

Elsewhere the bathroom displays black and white tones, as Heidi revealed was chosen in tribute to the Savoy Hotel – where the couple spend their wedding anniversaries.

Next to the bathroom, the singer shows a dressing room – where Heidi keeps the dashing wedding gown she wore for her wedding with Alex in Florence, Italy in 2016.
