What is Shatterline?
Shatterline is a PC-based shooter developed by Frag Lab and has been in early access since 2022. It will end its early access phase on August 1, with a full launch expected later this year.
According to Paley, discussions about integrating web3 functionalities with Frag Lab began in 2022. However, Frag Lab focused on refining the game’s core mechanics before adding new features. “We thought it looked absolutely incredible,” Paley said about early gameplay tests. Paley also mentioned plans for the game release on the Epic Games Store.
Players can expect the HV-MTL mechs to provide advantages in Shatterline’s player-vs-environment expedition modes, and will include both web3 rewards, like tradable items, and traditional web2 rewards.
The launch of Shatterline with HV-MTL integration is scheduled for Q4 2024. After the initial release, Faraway plans to add more HV-MTL classes and expand into the Legends of the Mara universe, featuring characters such as Koda Maras and Shattered Goliaths.
