Chinese singer-actor Kris Wu (吴亦凡) was once at the top of the Chinese entertainment industry and one of the highest-paid acts. However, times have changed for the disgraced star, a.k.a Wu Yifan, as he may be looking to sell his assets to make some extra cash.

Recently, a XiaoHongShu post went viral on Chinese social media, hinting that Kris’ mother, Stacey Wu (吴秀芹), is selling his ultra-expensive luxury car for cash. The post reveals that the singer’s mother is trying to sell his BRABUS G800 via an agent for RMB6 million (approximately RM3.89 million). The price of the car ranges but could go up to RM2 million. In the post, the agent never directly mentioned that the car belonged to Kris Wu but discreetly confirmed that the luxury ride was indeed his.

However, some netizens remained sceptical about the car, noting that Kris’ BRABUS G800 was supposedly orange and not the pictured blue-grey. Nevertheless, the agent assures that the vehicle for sale is the singer’s, explaining that the other BRABUS G800 he drove in Vancouver belonged to someone else. Unfortunately, the agent never disclosed why the former idol or his mother was looking to sell the vehicle. However, many netizens noted that it might be to get back some cash.

Kris is currently serving a 13-year jail sentence after he was found guilty of rape as well as tax evasion. Before serving his sentence, the former EXO member reportedly tried to protect his estate by liquidating his companies and selling his properties. However, given that he had to pay millions in fines, his wealth may be quickly depleting. Besides his BRABUS G800, Kris also owns several other luxury cars – but it’s unknown whether his mother will also sell the rest of his car collection.
