Thanksgiving is all about reflecting on blessings and practicing gratitude. Well, in the spirit of the holiday, Robb Report is truly thankful for the wristwatches celebs sported on the streets this past week.

A-listers descended upon Sin City for the inaugural Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix wearing some spectacular wrist candy. First and foremost, Rihanna challenged the horological status quo by wearing a $400,000 Jacob & Co. ankle watch to a Puma event. F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell stepped out wearing watches from IWC, as did James Marsden and Aaron Paul. Even world-famous chef Gordon Ramsay was spotted with a Rolex GMT II on his wrist.

From F1 racing to noteworthy gents, actor Joseph Quinn and singer John Legend hit the GQ Men of the Year Awards wearing timepieces by Hublot and Rolex, respectively.

Below are the best celeb watch flexes of the week.

  • James Marsden: IWC Portugieser Automatic 40

James Marsden’s wrist candy for the Las Vegas Grand Prix was pretty and pink. The Hollywood star wore an IWC Portugieser Automatic 40 to an exclusive event organized by the Swiss watchmaker and Mercedes-AMG. (Marsden also happens to be an ambassador for IWC.) Reference IW358313 is characterized by a 40 mm stainless steel case, a striking salmon dial, and a black alligator leather strap. It’ll set you back $7,450.

  • Joseph Quinn: Hublot Square Bang Unico

The dress code for this year’s GQ Men of the Year Awards was “modern red carpet,” and British actor Joseph Quinn absolutely nailed it. The Stranger Things star wore a Hublot Square Bang Unico watch to the ceremony at the Royal Opera House in central London. Launched in September 2022, the $23,100 timepiece features a 42 mm titanium case and a sapphire dial that highlights the skeletonized chronograph movement. It is the perfect piece for a modern red carpet. We only wish the Brit knew how to model it.

  • John Legend: Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

John Legend’s choice of wristwatch for this year’s GQ Men Of The Year was, well, legendary. The “All of Me” singer turned up to Bar Marmont wearing a very rare Rolex Cosmograph Daytona. Reference 116576TBR features a platinum case, a diamond-crusted dial and bezel, and striking blue subdials. Such examples routinely fetch six figures on the second-hand market. It’s a glitzy piece for an equally glitzy occasion.

  • Rihanna: Jacob & Co. Watch Anklet

Rihanna and her long-time friend Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co. teamed up to create a dazzling watch anklet for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The bespoke white-gold design is set with more than 70 carats of diamonds and priced at a cool $400,000. It’s not the first time RiRi has rocked a timepiece in an unconventional way, either. The Barbadian previously wore a Jacob & Co. watch as a necklace. Watch belt next?

  • Gordon Ramsay: Rolex GMT-Master II

Gordon Ramsay rocked a cool riff on a Rolex classic at the first Las Vegas Grand Prix. Launched in 2013, the GMT-Master II is affectionately nicknamed the “Batman” due to the blue and black color pairing Cerachrom ceramic bezel. Reference 116710BLNR also features a 40 mm Oystersteel case, a handsome black dial, and a Jubilee bracelet. The chef’s piece will set you back $10,900.

  • Aaron Paul: IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar.

Aaron Paul’s wrist candy for IWC’s event with Mercedes-AMG is as complex as the plot of Breaking Bad. The gold Portugieser (Reference IW503302) is equipped with a perpetual calendar complication that is mechanically programmed for 577 years. The 44 mm watch features three subdials, a date window, and a moon phase display. All that watchmaking comes at a cost, of course. The piece is priced at $34,900.

  • Lewis Hamilton and George Russell: IWC and Mercedes-AMG Performance Chronographs

In honor of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Mercedes-AMG and IWC launched two new performance chronographs. Fittingly, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, who are currently competing in Formula One with the three-pointed star, showed them off in the leadup to the race. Both models feature a modern 41 mm build and house the IWC-manufactured 69385 caliber movement. Hamilton’s $13,700 example (Reference IW388307) has a sleek Ceratanium construction and sporty turquoise accents, while Russell’s $12,600 model (Reference IW388305) is made from titanium. Both watches measure 41 mm and house the in-house 69385 caliber movement.
