General Motors is reaffirming its commitment to go all electric by 2035 by adding another electric vehicle to its luxury brand, Cadillac.

On Thursday, GM announced the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq will join Cadillac’s lineup, but GM did not offer a start of production date, vehicle details or its price. GM said it will release that information next year. But the automaker said the Vistiq will be a luxury three-row SUV that fits between the Lyriq and the larger Escalade IQ SUVs.

“Vistiq adds another compelling EV to the Cadillac lineup, reinforcing our commitment to an electric future,” John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac, said in a statement. “Our brand now has an EV entry in most luxury segments, offering customers a range of choices, and Cadillac EVs will cover most luxury SUV segments across critical global markets in the next two years.”

This is the third new EV GM has announced this year to join Cadillac, which currently sells the Lyriq (made at Spring Hill Assembly in Tennessee) and it is just starting production of the Celestiq, an ultraluxury sedan that will be hand built in Warren and start at $300,000.

GM has said Cadillac’s nomenclature — the IQ naming strategy, which first appeared on the Lyriq — is meant to recognize that “Cadillac (is) introducing a different type of EV to the market — one that works in tandem with people’s daily lives and environments.”

Earlier this year, GM said it would offer a 2025 Escalade IQ. GM builds the internal combustion Escalade at its assembly plant in Arlington, Texas. The EV will be made at Factory Zero in Detroit and Hamtramck and go on sale next summer. The Escalade IQ promises up to 750 hp, ultra-luxe accommodations and a base price around $130,000.

Last month, GM said it would add the 2025 Optiq compact SUV to Cadillac. It will be the entry vehicle for the brand’s EV lineup in North America. The details around the Optiq including price will be revealed next year.

GM has said Cadillac and Buick brands will have all-electric lineups by 2030.
