The yachting industry is evolving at a faster pace than we can imagine, and designers are letting their imaginations run wild, envisioning what future watercraft might look like. While some come up with out-of-this-world designs that are bound to exist only in the fantasy realm, others develop feasible concepts that may very well become the future of yachting.

The recently unveiled Rise superyacht concept belongs to the second category. Coming from the drawing boards of British design house Olesinski, this 230-foot (70-meter) superyacht is actually set to be built at Dörries Yachts in Germany in the following years.

What makes this concept stand out from the crowd is the fact that it is envisioned as a four-deck wellness retreat on the high seas, focusing on guests’ well-being. Nowadays, clients expect spa-quality treatments wherever they choose to travel. As a consequence, the health and wellness sector is the fatest growing in luxury tourism.

The Rise superyacht concept has been designed to allow guests to truly disconnect from the outside world and enjoy premium treatments after a day of exploring. The highlights of this striking yacht include an infinity pool with a glass viewing platform at sea level, a spa bath, a plunge pool, a massage room, and even an aesthetics salon. All these wellness-focused amenities can be found in a dedicated spa zone.

“The concept is simple,” according to Justin Olesinski, the managing director of Olesinski Design House. “Provide a no-compromise spa zone with every luxury.” They managed to create such a zone with help from an entire team of experts, comprising Coral Spa Consultants, Gym Marine, charter captains, and hotel spa consultants.

In terms of aesthetics, the Rise boasts sweeping lines and curved decks from bow to aft, creating a sleek, modern silhouette. The masculine, robust superstructure is softened by the graceful curves, and the near vertical bow contributes to the vessel’s distinctive appearance.

The 45.2-foot (13.8-meter) beam allows for impressive interior volumes, so Rise comes with a six-stateroom configuration, offering accommodation for up to 12 guests. The opulent master cabin is located forward on the upper deck and stands out with a private office, a separate dressing room, a luxurious en-suite, and a private terrace.

Other noteworthy features include a lower deck gym, an elevator that connects three floors, and an extensive bridge deck that looks like a luxurious retreat with a bar and lounge area, comfortable sofas, and an outdoor seating space where guests can admire the views and soak up the sun.

Since no yachting experience is truly complete without some fun on the water, the Rise superyacht is also envisioned with a generous garage with space for a 33-foot (10-meter) tender, a 20-foot (six-meter) inflatable Zodiac, a fleet of Jetskis, and a few Seabobs.

The Rise superyacht will be built on speculation by Dörries Yachts, with construction estimated to take about three years. “Our hope is that Rise will appeal to a client who wants a unique yacht with wellness at the heart of the design but also with Northern European build quality, without the need to wait years in order to start the build,” commented Dörries.
