LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities seized several guns and stolen goods Thursday from a rural Saunders County home, the sheriff’s office says.
Patrick Newcomer, 37, was taken into custody, according to the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office.
Saunders County deputies, the Nebraska State Patrol and the Fremont Police Department served a search warrant at his home just north of Mead.
Authorities found $61,000 in cash, 13 firearms, ammunition, gold and collectible currency.
Multiple items stolen during burglaries in Saunders and Dodge counties were also recovered, the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities said the stolen items connect Newcomer to at least eight burglaries, including the theft at Konecky Oil in Mead and the break-in at the U-Stop in Ashland.
A judge set his bond at $250,000. Newcomer must pay $25,000 to be released from jail.
An investigation is ongoing.
