San Antonio Spurs ace Victor Wembanyama has become the latest brand ambassador for French luxury fashion company Louis Vuitton.
Confirmed:
- Frenchman to wear Louis Vuitton designs before and after National Basketball Association (NBA) games
- Brand had designed Wembanyama’s suit for the NBA Draft
Context:
Wembanyama joins the brand’s extensive roster of ambassadors, which includes tennis aces Carlos Alcaraz and Naomi Osaka and French swimmer Leon Marchand. Louis Vuitton has also previously worked with soccer icons Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Louis Vuitton’s parent company, Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), is also a premium partner at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with Wembanyama expected to represent France in the men’s basketball event.

“I wanted a meaningful partnership,” Wembanyama told GQ. “To me it made a lot of sense to partner with LV – you know, French excellence. The expertise is something that I feel very much attracted to.”
