Chemistry, sorcery, and magic along with the talents of Vitruvius Yachts. Rossinavi and Enrico Gobbi have churned out an unforgettable Alchemy motoryacht! It was a winner at first glance but also bagged the award of the coveted ‘2024’s Motor Yacht of the Year.’ There are the usual standout points like a lavish interior, with spa-like serenity, three decks packed with amenities and features, a central staircase, an opulent master suite, and stately guest cabins.

What is unusual is the treatment of the above aboard Alchemy. The classic yacht layout was thrown out of the window, and that’s where this boat set out to be different. The central staircase emerges from the floor sans a case, trunk, or lobby.

The owners have been on several charters for over 15 years and wanted their ship to be an embodiment of their thoughts, lifestyle, and preferences. The three-decker 217-footer exhibits guest cabins not in a row like a student dorm but is distributed across the floors with individuality and style. The adept owners also lent their expertise to the team in the form of a massive galley, reiterating the importance of food aboard a luxury vessel. In the case of the Alchemy yacht, it is given as much importance as outdoor spaces ( 332 square meters of outdoor space on three levels).

The comparatively smaller but spacious by pleasure craft standards galley is spread across 28-square-metre accommodating three chefs, and a wine cellar that can hold hundreds of bottles. The active family ensured the presence of a wide variety of toys and tenders tucked away in the garage. The lavish salon is enhanced further with a custom wine wall holding over 200 bottles with an informal bar on the opposite end to enjoy one or more.

The massage room and sauna

Among other luxe additions on Alchemy feature a full-beam gym, an open-air wellness room, a panoramic spa pool on the sundeck flanked by a second kitchen to stir up some light snacks, hors d’oeuvres and sushi.

Life on Alchemy certainly sounds like a very good idea! It single handedly proved that bigger doesn’t mean better and as one of the judges perfectly surmised, “there’s nothing not to like on this boat.”

Billionaire Fernando Espinosa Abdalá owns the award-winning Alchemy yacht-

This Mexican billionaire worth $1.6 billion derived his wealth from his pharmaceutical firm. The family business was founded by his father in the 1970s as a pharmaceutical distributor before expanding into manufacturing. His company, Rimsa, was sold to Tel Aviv-based Teva Pharmaceuticals for $2.3 billion in 2016. It was well-known for its vast array of patent-protected products, including innovative fixed-dose combination products. Fernando Espinosa Abdalá, a resident of Mexico City also owns a Gulfstream G550 private jet in addition to the extravagant Alchemy luxury vessel.
