(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) has extinguished the fire near Gold Camp and Sunrise Lane.
The CSFD drone will do a final sweep with its thermal imaging capabilities to ensure all hotspots are out before firefighters leave the area.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) has reached the fire sparked by lighting in the area of Gold Camp Road.
Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire using hand tools. According to CSFD, the fire is slow-moving and sitting at 1/10 of an acre.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is responding to a fire that was reportedly sparked by lightning in the area of Gold Camp Road, south of Bear Creek Park.
CSFD posted about the fire shortly after 6:30 p.m. and said neighbors in the area of Gold Camp Road and Sunrise Lane reported seeing lightning strike followed by flames and smoke. CSFD launched a drone to survey the area, and was able to locate smoke.
CSFD said the drone crew sent coordinates to firefighters and they are working to hike to the location.
