Lürssen, the renowned German yacht builder, is set to debut its latest masterpiece, the 122-metre (400-foot) superyacht Kismet, at the Monaco Yacht Show. This highly anticipated unveiling promises to be a highlight of the prestigious event, which runs from the 25th – 28th of September.
After departing the Lürssen yard in May 2024, Kismet has been cruising the Mediterranean, preparing for her grand debut. The yacht, managed by Cecil Wright for charter, is expected to attract significant attention from yacht enthusiasts and potential charter clients alike.
Kismet’s design, a collaboration between the esteemed Nuvolari Lenard for the exterior and Reymond Langton for the interior epitomises luxury and innovation. The yacht boasts an impressive 17m (56ft) beam and can accommodate up to 12 guests in eight opulent cabins. Among her standout features are a Balinese-inspired spa, diverse culinary experiences, and a comprehensive array of water sports toys and tenders, ensuring an unparalleled onboard experience.
In keeping with Lürssen’s reputation for technological excellence, Kismet is equipped with a state-of-the-art hybrid power train, allowing for full-electric mode operation. This, combined with a heat recovery system for pool water heating and dynamic positioning for electronic anchoring in sensitive areas, underscores Lürssen’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Peter Lürssen, managing partner of Lürssen, expressed his pride in the new vessel, “Following in the footsteps of an iconic previous yacht is always a challenge, but with our technical expertise and the outstanding design from Nuvolari Lenard for the exterior and Reymond Langton for the interior, the yacht has exceeded all expectations of the client, for whom we have built his third yacht in total.”
Cecil Wright, the central charter agent for Kismet, echoed this enthusiasm: “Having sold the previous 95m Kismet (312ft) (now Whisper) before the Monaco Yacht Show last year, we are delighted to work with Lürssen again to introduce the new Kismet, this time as the central agent for charter. She needs to be seen to be believed.”
With her blend of luxury, advanced technology, and sustainable features, Kismet is set to be a shining star at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, representing the pinnacle of modern yacht design and engineering.
