Ethereum-based gaming protocol B3 has announced its acquisition of US-based PC manufacturer Andromeda Insights, marking its entry into the hardware space.

Alongside the announcement, B3 revealed its first physical product: the B3PC, a desktop computer designed with blockchain users in mind.

The device includes features such as integrated crypto wallet support and a self-destruct mechanism for secure data deletion. Pre-orders are now open, with the first units expected to ship in early 2026.

What is B3PC?

The B3PC is a high-performance desktop computer built with blockchain-specific capabilities. Developed after B3’s acquisition of Andromeda Insights, it is tailored for users who participate in on-chain gaming and handle cryptocurrency data.

The system is equipped with a native hardware wallet integrated into its operating system, offering secure key storage and isolated transaction signing. Users can also choose to activate an airgapped mode, disconnecting the device from network access during sensitive operations.

The device is intended to support demanding gaming applications, particularly those linked to blockchain networks and decentralised ecosystems.

What can we expect from the B3PC?

The most distinctive aspect of the B3PC is its self-destruct mechanism for its internal storage. The system offers two options: a secure digital wipe that continues even if power is interrupted, and a hardware-level procedure that physically damages the drive’s NAND flash chips using high voltage.

The self-destruct function is designed to permanently erase sensitive data such as private keys, and is protected behind a physical cover to prevent accidental activation. Whilst the drive becomes unusable after the feature is triggered, the rest of the machine remains functional.

Other features include default support for B3’s ecosystem and blockchain-based games running on Base. The desktop also includes hardware encryption tools and optional offline configurations for increased security.

Interested buyers can reserve a B3PC with a $200 deposit, with shipments expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
