In Connecticut, places around the state are embracing seasonal festivities by gearing up to open their various holiday markets.
Municipalities across Connecticut have holiday and winter markets to celebrate the incoming holidays as well as showcase small business owners and artisans.
Here are the holiday markets across Connecticut this season from earliest to latest start date.
When: Nov. 2 – Jan. 7
Location: 411 Church St., Guilford
The Guilford Holiday Market will take place at the Guilford Art Center and is set to include holiday gifts like, candles, cards, clothing, jewelry, leather, Christmas ornaments, soaps, specialty foods, stationery and more.
When: Nov. 16, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Location: 525 Orange Center Road, Orange
The town of Orange will be hosting a holiday market and craft fair. There will be craft vendors and farm market vendors selling baked goods, candles, jewelry, pottery, glass art, embroidered items, wool products, glassware and cutlery, among other things.
When: Nov. 18 – 19, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: 25 Pompey Hollow Road, Ashford
The Ashford Holiday Arts Market will be held at Knowlton Memorial Hall. The event is set to have a wide variety of craft goods for sale.
When: Nov. 18 – Dec. 23
Location: Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford
In addition to Glow Hartford’s light festival, the event also hosts a holiday market where guests can enjoy festive goods as well as seasonal food and drink.
Nov. 18 – 19 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: 370 Beach Road, Fairfield
The Fairfield Museum and History Center will be hosting its 9th annual holiday market. Attendees can expect dozens of vendors as well as a drawing to win a free museum membership.
When: Nov. 24 – Dec. 24
Location: 145 Rowayton Avenue, Norwalk
Attendees to the Rowayton Arts Center Holiday Gift Show can expect a variety of gifts sold by local artists, including original cards, prints, paintings, ornaments, jewelry, ceramics and knitted items.
When: Nov. 24th – Dec. 23; Fridays: 4 – 8 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays: noon – 5 p.m.
Location: Hartford Union Station, 1 Union Place
Hartford’s annual Winterfair will host a variety of small businesses and food truck vendors at Union Station transit stop.
When: Nov. 25 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: 10 N Main St., Kent
Various handmade artisanal crafts will be for sale at the Gallery above House of Books on Kent’s Main St. on Nov. 25.
When: Nov. 25 and Dec. 16
Location: White Hart Inn, 15 Under Mountain Road, Salisbury
The Salisbury Artisan Group’s Holiday Market will take place at the White Hart on Nov. 25 and Dec. 16. Attendees can expect handmade crafts and artisanal goods.
When: Nov. 25 – 26
Where: 32 Reeds Gap Road, Middlefield
Lyman Orchards is hosting its annual holiday pop up shop. Admission is free for all attendees and guests can expect kids crafts, face paintings, letter-writing to Santa, holiday music and more than 20 different craft vendors.
When: Nov. 25 – 26, Dec. 2-3 and 9-10.
Location: 38 Curtis Road, Washington
The Institute of American Indian Studies Holiday market celebrates contemporary Native American art and cultures. Guests can purchase items such as gourds, pottery, jewelry, rattles, artworks and flutes, to name a few.
When: Nov. 25 and Dec. 16
Location: 314 Flat Rock Place, Westbrook
The Westbrook Outlets is hosting its annual holiday market with more than 80 regional craft vendors. Santa will also be at the market for photo opportunities.
When: Nov. 30 – Dec. 10
Location: 600 Main St., Hartford
The Wadsworth Museum of Art will be turned into a winter market by decorating the galleries with trees and wreaths. All proceeds will go back to the museum to it can run special exhibitions and programs throughout the year.

Location: 8 Simpson St., Newtown
The Newtown Community Center will host its third annual Sip ‘N Shop with shopping vendors, wine, beer, spirits and food tastings. General admission is $25 and VIP admission is $45.
When: Dec. 1 – 2
Location: The Green, Bethlehem
Bethlehem is hosting its annual Christmas Town Festival on Town Green. The event is set to have more than 70 vendors, live music, pictures with Santa and a hayride.
When: Dec. 1 – 3; Friday: 5 – 8 p.m, Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Location: 227 S Main St., West Hartford
More than 20 local vendors will be selling a variety of seasonal gifts and goods at the Noah Webster House Holiday Market.
When: Dec. 1 – 24; Thursdays and Fridays: 5 – 9 p.m., Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Sundays: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: 123 Washington St., South Norwalk
The Local Artisan Holiday Market in South Norwalk will host more than 65 vendors selling items from holiday decor to jewelry and art.
When: Dec. 2, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk
St. Jerome’s Church will be hosting the Norwalk Garden Club’s Christmas Fair. The event will include wreaths, floral arrangements, baked goods and handmade items.
When: Dec. 2, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: 33 Highland Avenue, Norwalk
The Rowayton Community Center is hosting the Rowayton Gardeners Christmas Market with designer wreaths and centerpieces in addition to holiday gifts and crafts.
When: Dec. 2, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Location: 163 Main St., Westport
The NEST Agency is hosting a sip and shop event in Westport. Attendees can expect a variety of vendors and a hot chocolate and mimosa stand as well as a gingerbread station.

Location: 25 Main St., Newtown
The Friends of the C.H. Booth Library is hosting its annual holiday sale with thousands of books.
When: Dec. 6 – 7
Location: 19 Doubling Road, Greenwich
The Greenwich Historical Society is hosting its annual Holiday Boutique and is set to bring in craft and artisan vendors from London, the Hamptons and New York City to the Greenwich Country Club. Per a news release, guests can expect items like luxury clothes, accessories and food items such as California olive oils and aged Italian balsamic vinegars.

Location: Pratt Street, Hartford
Hartford’s Pratt Street will be transformed into a winter wonderland in December. The event is set to have live music performances in addition to seasonal food and drink at local bars and restaurants.

Location: Cromwell Town Hall, 39 West St., Cromwell
The town of Cromwell is hosting its annual craft fair that will include multiple vendors, food trucks and a visit from Santa.
