Even though the inventory for the house market is smaller right now, there are a lot of new homes being added to the market every day. At least, that’s what Patrick Castelli, an associate broker with The Perna Team, has to say.
He said there have been weeks this month where more than 2,000 homes were added to the market in Southeast Michigan.
When it comes to the most expensive homes, though, Castelli said there are a lot of factors that go into determining how expensive a home is.
He said that Downriver, the number one factor for a home to be expensive is if it’s on the water. He also said that if the property the home sits on is able to be split, that it could be worth more.
Currently, though, there are a lot of new construction neighborhoods, which drives the price up for those newly-constructed homes.
“That’s generally going to be the most expensive place in most cities other than the waterfront or potential historic home or something like that,” he said.
Downriver and Dearborn communities have a variety of homes that are currently on the market for more than $1 million. Here are the top seven most expensive houses for sale on the market right now:
7. Unfinished potential Cherry Hill Estates in Dearborn
2 Ridgemont Court in Dearborn is on the market for $1.059 million. The unfinished home is available because of the seller’s decision to relocation. This home, which sits on a 3,796 square-foot lot, is unfinished. The listing estimates it would cost $300,000 to $400,000 to finish the home. The home has a new roof and new windows and space for four bedrooms.
6. Modern design and luxury waterfront living in Gibraltar
30730 Island Drive in Gibraltar is currently on the market for $1.085 million.
This property offers 3,853 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and four full bathrooms. The interior of the home offers panoramic views of the water.
