After successful sea trials last year, a 197-footer, custom Heesen Superyacht Ultra G, was delivered to a new owner. The yacht is on her maiden voyage and is currently in Saint Malo, France, per vesselfinder. Ultra G has several talking points, from being the Dutch shipyard’s most powerful to packing an incredible propulsion totaling 22,000 horsepower and a top speed of 37 knots. As the Captain of Ultra G told Forbes, “This is the best Heesen yacht that’s ever been made.” The discernible and dynamic red and black exterior, sleek lines, and a list of bespoke features will make it an instantly recognizable ship in the days to come. The 918GT yacht sleeps ten guests in four cabins on the lower deck.

The main saloon

The bridge deck has been reserved for the owner’s accommodation, a commodious suite with a walk-in wardrobe, private terrace, a Jacuzzi, and relaxation area. The main deck boasts a media room, a games table, and a well-stocked wine fridge. Among its standout features is the concealed innovative U Safe rescue system.

The U Safe rescue system

The self-powered unique rescue buoy can be steered by remote control, making potentially difficult conditions accessible. Without endangering the life of the crew, the buoy can maneuver itself to a person, or a dog in the case of this sea-faring billionaire, and return back to safety. Ultra G runs some smart algorithms that make sure the onboard Lithium-Ion batteries are always fully charged. It is easy to use, extremely maneuverable, and, with a top speed of 15 km/h, can quickly provide assistance.

Its the first superyacht to have a dog relief area.

It is for the pet that a special ‘grassy’ area is installed on the deck just off the master cabin. As mentioned above, the U Safe is practically invisible lifesaving equipment, despite the bright orange buoy. “The U Safe is mounted behind a hatch on the starboard side, in front of the steering station on the wheelhouse deck,” shared Bob van Zundert, Heesen’s shipyard captain. “From the outside, it is not visible – you can only see the outlines of the hatch. Of course, we wanted the yacht to look as clean as possible on the outside, and that means that we did not want any lines or edges on the exterior.”

The custom wine fridge.

It is a great addition for the safety of crew, friends of the fur family, especially in the case of pets who can be unpredictable, excited, and may get involved in an unforeseen incident. Such safety measures can come in handy, as the grass patch installed for the pet to relieve itself and not ruin the teak deck is clearly not going anywhere. Per Boat International, Ultra G is expected to be accompanied by a custom tender built by Vanquish to a design by Guido de Groot that is a smaller replica of the pleasure craft.
