The Noir superyacht is touted to be a thing of beauty, an ideal expression of personal freedom, and, most importantly, the luxury schooner will be the world’s tallest yacht. The 264-footer by Royal Huisman will boast the world’s tallest sloop rig, soaring 305 feet high. When completed, the Noir yacht will rank among the world’s top 10 largest sailing yachts. The world of sailing yachts is ruled by floating goliaths like Sailing Yacht A and the world’s largest sailing superyacht, Koru.

Currently the largest sailing yacht in the world. The Koru’s massive masts reach 70 meters (230 feet)

The 416-foot megayacht belonging to Jeff Bezos flaunts triple masts reaching a height of 230 feet. Project 411, or Noir, will dwarf even the mighty Koru with its 305-foot sloop rig. Her air draft exceeds the current tallest rig by about 14 feet.

‘We are very pleased to be building again at Royal Huisman,’ said Malcolm McKeon. ‘Having built our award-winning 59.7-meter / 196-foot Sarissa there, we are well acquainted with the shipyard’s engineering skills, innovations, and the level of craftsmanship.’ Spain-based GCA Architects will design the interiors, while Malcolm McKeon Design has bestowed the yacht with a discernible exterior.

The skilled yacht owner commissioned a superlative sailing yacht that would become his personal expression of exploring the world freely with his family and friends in tow on this passion-fueled voyage. ‘The capabilities of Royal Huisman can be seen in various ways, with no doubt the most important proof point being that we are selected by knowledgeable owners as the builder for their incredible and unique yachts. I am pleased and humbled that we can highlight Royal Huisman’s 140th year of operation with the announcement of such a significant project,’ said CEO Jan Timmerman. ‘Of the hundreds of vessels our shipyard has delivered in its history, Project 411 will be our fourth yacht in the ranks of the world’s top 10 largest sailing yachts.’

Royal Huisman is one of the most celebrated names in the yachting industry with a skilled team of over 350. From top-notch craftsmen to expert concept designers, the experience, services and facilities for custom builds is indeed unmatched.
Noir will be a testament to this expertise and make a mark as one of the tallest schooners around.
