Come on, Barbie, let’s go yachting.
In a twist on a luxury cruiser’s generally uninspired design, a pink catamaran has come to market, and just been scooped up for a whopping $8.9m by an unidentified “international tech entrepreneur,” according to The Post.

Built by Turkey-based VisionF Yachts, the 25m-long boat has what the company describes as an “unusual, eye-catching pink paintwork,” which makes it “guaranteed to stand out from the crowd,” especially when compared to more traditional models.
“The client requested his yacht be painted a custom shade of pink,” VisionF Yachts explained to SWNS, noting that it’s not just the exterior that’s reminiscent of Barbie. The furniture and carpets inside have a pink tint as well.
“She is unique in man ways,” added VisionF Yachts general manager Ali Tanir.

Other amenities on the superyacht — which has four suites and the capacity to host eight guests and five crew members — include a DJ booth and a deck ideal for “sunbathing or simply enjoying the sea views from the comfy sun pads and seating upholstered in weather-resistant fabrics.”

There’s also a flybridge, a large saloon, and a mobile stern platform that can be lowered for better water access, and to take the on-board jet boat (which is also pink) for a ride.
In more flashy but perhaps less colourful yacht news, a $540m, 115m-long yacht made headlines earlier this year for its over-the-top amenities, including a helipad, spa and theatre.
