  • Dubai has emerged as a global hub for high-end living in the last 10 years by focusing on sustainable and technology-driven luxury real estate.
  • As Dubai prepares to host the COP28 sustainability conference in November 2023, real estate developers have begun to address sustainability and luxury in new apartment complexes.
  • MERED, a renowned luxury real estate development company, has announced Dubai as its headquarters, in the hopes to provide luxury sustainable living to high net-worth individuals (HNWIs).

Well-known for its focus on luxury living, Dubai has become a pioneering city that offers green initiatives and sustainable development as well as high-end real estate.

According to 2023 data from the Dubai Land Department, Dubai’s luxury real estate sector has experienced a  growth rate of 63% within one year, with many transactions coming from wealthy internationals.

The data also indicates that Dubai’s luxury real estate sector generated AED 92.5bn from the sales of 46,166 apartments, with the most expensive apartments in luxury areas such as Dubai Marina ranging from AED 78m to AED 410m.

Dubai is set to host the COP28 sustainability conference in November 2023. This milestone shows the city’s efforts to promote sustainable development while simultaneously accelerating the transition to a greener, more sustainable future for luxury city living.

HNWIs wishing to purchase real estate and practice a more sustainable way of luxury living in Dubai can explore international money transfer options to ensure that their payments are secure.

MERED, an international real estate developer, has marked Dubai as its new global headquarters, stating that the company’s long-term focus will have a strong emphasis on technological innovation and luxury projects.

Ramil Guliev, CEO of MERED, suggested that the company will aim to continue the unique cityscape that is already present in Dubai, while ensuring that the new apartments cater to the high-quality living expected from HNWIs.

Guliev noted that a commitment to luxury and excellence is the key focus of Dubai’s luxury real estate sector in 2023, and said that MERED is poised to create residences for wealthy internationals that will redefine sustainable luxury living.

MERED is also looking to aid Dubai’s wealthy skilled workforce by connecting Dubai’s Internet City with key residential locations such as Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, Mall of the Emirates and Jumeirah beaches.

Guliev suggested that connecting each area of the city for travel, work and leisure through a sustainable lens will ensure that luxury living stays at the forefront of Dubai’s real estate sector.

MERED’s flagship project has been designed by Italian architectural firm Pininfarina, which has worked on sustainable projects with companies such as Ferrari and Alfa Romeo.

Affluent individuals who wish to purchase a sustainable apartment in Dubai should compare exchange rates before transferring money.
