They were celebrating Sanchez’s engagement to Amazon co-founder Jeff Bezos. In September 2023, Walmart billionaire heiress Nancy Walton’s $300 million superyacht Kaos was similarly vandalized with red paint by eco-activists for the second time. The eco-activist group Futuro Vegetal attacked the 360-foot-long boat docked in the port of Barcelona with biodegradable red paint, carrying a startling sign that read “Billionaires should not exist.” Assuming the black paint splashed on the Rising Sun is of the same kind, the vessel’s 45 crew members should be able to restore it to its original condition.
