MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Four suspects have been charged with more than 50 counts of offenses following a string of high-end vehicle thefts in Union County.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says that detectives determined that over the last several months, the suspects involved were targeting luxury motor vehicles that were left unlocked with the keys inside.

All of the suspects are teens who live in the Charlotte area. Three of them, 19-year-old Evan Tolson, Julius White (19), and Ja’Quise Black (18), have been charged and arrested in connection with the investigation.
A fourth suspect, who is under the age of 18, has been charged via juvenile petitions after the Department of Juvenile Justice declined to issue a secured custody order.
