Futuristic car-inspired superyacht concept is all about tech

As exciting as a luxury superyacht may seem, most of them have a similar design that’s been dragging on for quite a while now, but innovation never stops, and we now have a futuristic car-inspired superyacht concept called ‘Hype-R’ that wishes to change how these ultra-luxe vessels look.

The Hype-R moniker oddly resembles a hypercar, which inspired Italian designer Davide Benaglia’s concept.

If anything, this unique concept aims to be different by including modern tech, a reimagined interior, and an appearance you don’t see every day.

Creating the futuristic superyacht

Benaglia’s concept was part of his Project HYPE-R, which he showcased at Feadship’s Young Designer of the Year Award event.

All nominees for the award had one task — to create ‘futuristic’ vessels that embodied state-of-the-art technology, were sustainable, and, of course, were practical.

While Benaglia’s concept didn’t win, it grabbed enough attention to become a reality one day.

The concept certainly stood out the most while featuring all the aspects it aimed to achieve.

Regardless, the superyacht is unlike most modern-day yachts, and it will certainly attract a lot of attention if a billionaire decides to commission it into reality.

And that’s mostly because of its interior.

It has a supercar-like interior that you can instantly spot, thanks to the sleek, glowing light bars and curves.

Speaking of supercar-based yachts, there’s a $4 million Lamborghini Superyacht that is built like one of the brand’s cars.

The designer of the Yacht obviously loves cars, which inspired him to create this unique superyacht.

Now, it’s not the largest yacht we have seen, but it’s still quite big.

The 220-footer has loads of outdoor and indoor space, so there’s enough area for a party.

However, if you’re not that into design, it has other tricks up its sleeve, too.

There’s a modular beach club that’s ideal for social gatherings and a rear area that also has folding side terraces.

This yacht is all about being multifunctional, so you also get an unsymmetrical cascading pool.

And it looks quite tempting, to say the least.

Superyachts aren’t easy to build, and if someone decides to take on the project, it will take a long time to accommodate all the features the vessel wants to have.
