Founded by parent company Samantha Thavasa Co., Ltd., the Samantha Vega fashion line sees frequent collaboration with popular anime, having modeled charms, wallets, and bags after the likes of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind and Stone Ocean, Cardcaptor Sakura, Evangelion and the “Shibuya” arc in the recently completed Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. The current Hunter x Hunter line was announced on Jan. 5, 2024, and is just one of the many signs of life that the franchise is giving this year. Hunter x Hunter will also receive a game, and it’s widely expected that the manga will resume this year after Togashi’s ‘Start Over’ posts suggested an imminent return.
Other recent high-profile anime collaborations include Pokémon teaming up with Fendi to release Dragonite family-themed merchandise, similarly stocked with a selection of bags, wallets and accessories. Naruto‘s accessory line with CASETiFY and the new Bleach x Crunchyroll clothing range also both mark recent collaborations with fellow Shonen Jump titles.

Samantha Vega’s designs are inspired by the Hunter x Hunter 2011 anime, currently streaming on Crunchyroll. The platform describes the series: “Gon, a young boy who lives on Whale Island, dreams of becoming a Hunter like his father, who left when Gon was still young.”
