Quentin Tarantino had recently envisioned a metaverse to complement his 10th and final film, ‘The Movie Critic‘.

The Hollywood Reporter indicated that Tarantino’s concept for the movie involved a digital realm where visitors could interact with characters and actors from his earlier films. A younger virtual version of Tarantino would guide them through a retro-themed cinema.

However, Tarantino’s ambitious metaverse ideas have been dropped, leading to uncertainty about what his farewell film will ultimately look like.

Tarantino’s Past and Future Digital Ventures

Tarantino’s career spans nearly four decades. From portraying an Elvis impersonator in Golden Girls to crafting intricate narratives like those seen in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, he has consistently showcased a wide range of talents.

Now, the famous filmmaker finds himself at a crossroads as he contemplates the conclusion of his illustrious career.

His initial metaverse idea wasn’t a complete shock, given his familiarity with the blockchain realm. In January 2022, Tarantino released NFTs featuring exclusive Pulp Fiction content—one of which fetched $1.1 million. Though, this project stirred legal disputes with Miramax over intellectual property rights.
