Italy-based luxury yacht designing and manufacturing company Pershing Yachts has unveiled the GTX116, a new range of sports utility yachts that combine elegance, incredible deck space, and the signature Pershing thrill.
The Pershing GTX116 yacht is integrated with a triple water jet propulsion system and comes in two engine models. The first one is the MAN V12 1800 engine that provides 1800 horsepower with a cruising speed of 26 knots (48 km/h), a maximum speed of 31 knots (57.4 km/h), and a full range of 420 nautical miles (778 km).
The other one is the MAN V12 2000 engine that comes as an option. It provides 2000 horsepower and has a cruising speed of 29 knots (53.7 km/h) and a maximum speed of 34 knots (63 km/h); this powertrain offers a full range of 400 nautical miles (741 km). The engine room contains a triple waterjet propulsion system, fitted with all the components into a smaller space, providing more room for the garage and beach area. The stern garage can accommodate a 5.2-meter-long jet tender and a jet ski.
GTX116 yacht is 35 meters long and over seven meters in the beam, offering generous open spaces, areas in direct contact with the water, and exceptional onboard liveability with superior performance. This sports utility yacht can accommodate up to 20 people on board and features five cabins plus three crew cabins as a standard, with six bathrooms and three bathrooms in crew quarters.
The new GTX range features elegant and aerodynamic exterior styling. The yacht has two decks and an upper sportfly that comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. The external features, such as the ventilation grills and windshield visors, were produced for the first time using 3D printing technology to obtain subtly unconventional geometries. A hardtop partially covers a deck of over 40 square meters. It features a fully equipped bar area with seating built into the main structure. On the other hand is the exterior helm station, with up to three sports seats.
The Pershing GTX116 yacht’s interior is flooded with natural light while offering a spectacular ocean panorama. The interior design concept is defined by a dialogue between dark wood in the verticals and pale color tones on the ceilings. The eucalyptus wood furniture in all the yacht’s living areas has a 45-degree specular grain pattern that creates a chiaroscuro effect. They are set in a solid wood frame that matches the wall to create visual continuity.
The sport yacht’s interior also features the L-shaped sofa in the main deck saloon, the furniture frames, the headboards, and bed frames in the cabins, and Ernestomeda for the fully appointed galley. The Altraluce lighting takes the form of individual spotlights mounted on black aluminum bars and an ample living space with armchairs. The dining area has a large table that can seat ten people. At the same time, the galley, depending on the owner’s needs, can also be designed with a bar counter.
The five-cabin night area has a centrally positioned full-beam owner’s cabin, two doubles, two twins, all with private bathrooms, and a sixth bathroom off the main stairway.
Furthermore, the yacht also has crew quarters, a pantry, laundry, and three cabins for the five crew members, including two twins for the crew and a single for the captain.
The crew area connects directly to the helm station on the main deck for the owner and their guests to enjoy complete privacy. The yacht is also designed with crew-only passageways, so crew members do not need to cross spaces reserved for the owner and guests.
The sport utility yacht is the result of collaboration between the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari, the design firm headed by Fulvio De Simoni, and the Group’s Engineering Department. The hull was built at the Ferretti Group Plug and Mould facility. The Pershing GTX116 yacht can be configured according to the owner’s needs. This yacht has a RINA class certificate for pleasure yachts.
The company hasn’t yet announced the Pershing GTX116 price.
