Phillips Will Auction a Rare Rolex Ref. 6062 in Geneva This Fall – Robb Report

Mark your calendars and get your bids ready. On November 3 and 4, Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo will host The Geneva Watch Auction: XVIII. The sale will feature an array of rare timepieces from the 20^th and 21^st centuries, including a few particularly exceptional pieces from Rolex, Patek Philippe and George Daniels.

The Geneva Watch Auction: XVIII will present several important watches from Rolex including a Cosmograph Daytona “Khanjar” ref. 6265 in 18k yellow gold and a Submariner ref. 6200. However, the most coveted lot from The Crown is sure to be the Ref. 6062 in stainless steel. This previously unknown reference features a complete calendar mechanism and is expected to fetch a pretty penny this November with estimates ranging $1-2 million.

There are also several interesting lots from Patek Philippe, ranging from a Perpetual Calendar Chronograph first-series ref. 2499 in 18-karat yellow gold to a third-series ref. 2499 with a Beyer dial signature in 18-karat yellow gold and a Chronograph ref. 1463 with Breguet numerals in stainless steel. Still, the most exceptional offering from Patek is one of the rarest sport watches ever produced by the brand. The Nautilus ref. 3700 in platinum is just one of three known examples and the first without diamond indexes or bezel. This will also mark the first time this model has ever been offered at auction.

Last but certainly not least, The Geneva Watch Auction: XVIII will also showcase a number of timepieces from independent makers like F.P. Journe, Philippe Dufour, Kari Voutilainen, and Roger Smith, as well as the legendary George Daniels. The Anniversary N° 1 in platinum is one of only four ever created and represents a piece of horological history.

The selection of timepieces up for sale at The Geneva Watch Auction: XVIII will be on tour in New York from September 29 through October 1 before traveling to Hong Kong, Riyadh, Singapore and London.
