Once bitten, twice shy” is an apt adage for Saudi billionaire Prince Fahad al Athel and his stunning superyacht, the $100 million motoryacht Elements. The YouTube channel eSysman SuperYachts pointed out on their channel the 263-footer Yachtley beauty cruising through the Red Sea, broadcasting the most curious AIS message. The message, ‘No Israel Connection,’ was updated on the AIS per Marine Traffic as the ship crossed the Suez Canal and journeyed through the Red Sea, which has been a volatile area for marine traffic due to the Houthi rebels which are targetting Israeli-owned, flagged, or operated vessels passing through the vital route.

The AIS message perhaps reflects the owner’s belief in the saying ‘Precaution is better than cure,’ especially after being vandalized in France while docked in the port of Nice in May 2023. The $100 million pleasure craft was at the receiving end of garbage, paint, and edibles like fruits and vegetables thrown by protestors, owing to unrest in France.

Apparently, the AIS trick worked, and the 263-foot-long vessel passed through the dangerous waters safely and soundly. According to its latest AIS data, the 2,433-ton boat is now anchored in the safe waters of Male, Maldives.

Fit for a Saudi billionaire, Elements is a massive pleasure craft decked with opulent furnishing and materials. It has a helipad, a massive swimming pool, a beach club, a movie hall and even a cards room. The yacht has 4 guest cabins and can accommodate 24 guests for an extremely comfortable journey that can span oceans.
