Sometimes you just need a really good car. Whether you’re getting married in a 1930s vintage Bentley like Olivia Henson (or a 1977 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI, or an Aston Martin DB6 Volante), or wanting to show up in style for an impromptu hunting trip behind the wheel of a Land Rover – you just can’t beat a luxury motor when it comes to speed, comfort, and a certain UHNW je ne sais quois.
But investing full time in the most exclusive of supercars can come with some bumps in the road. Just ask Everyman Motor Racing owner Darren Edmonds, whose fleet of nine, including a £271,000 Lamborghini Aventador and a £181,000 Aston Martin DB11, overturned on the way to Goodwood last year. And even when your Rolls Royce stays the right way up, speed limits and road restrictions mean it’s often more likely that your investment stays locked up in a garage rather than revving off into the sunset.
Enter Starr Luxury. Founded by Brit-based CEO Ikenna Ordor, the on-demand luxury travel service lets high-society petrolheads hire out supercars and prestige vehicles for weddings, filming shoots, holidays, or long-term rentals. With a £250 million fleet, including Lamborghinis, Rolls Royce, Bentleys, Ferraris, a Bugatti, and more, Starr Luxury has been dubbed ‘the airbnb of luxury cars’ by Forbes for the ease and accessibility of its service.
