The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, who officially inaugurated the new facility. In his address, he underscored the significance of Sunreef Yachts’ expansion in the region.
Former Polish President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Lech Walesa, alongside Polish Ambassador H.E. Dr. Jakub Slavek and Sunreef Yachts CEO Francis Lapp, delivered speeches highlighting the momentous occasion and the company’s ambitious vision for the future.
The event drew a distinguished crowd, including VIPs, local authorities, and loyal customers, who were treated to an exclusive tour of the state-of-the-art production facilities. They witnessed the crafting of the first Ultima 55 model, a groundbreaking hybrid catamaran, as well as the innovative electric yachts Athena Too and Sunreef 80 Eco Marie Joseph. Advanced robotics showcased the technological prowess driving Sunreef Yachts’ manufacturing processes.
Situated in Ras Al Khaimah, the new shipyard signifies a significant milestone for Sunreef Yachts, underscoring its global expansion strategy. With a focus on Ultima catamarans, the facility has already garnered numerous orders, promising sustained growth and prosperity for the company and its workforce.
Sunreef Yachts was founded by Francis Lapp in 2002 in Gdansk, Poland. Since then, the shipyard has been designing and manufacturing luxury sailing and power multihulls.
