Italian builder of luxury megayachts Tankoa Yachts unveiled the full-custom T560 Apache during the recent Monaco Yacht Show, showcasing a glorious yacht designed for a lavish lifestyle. Coming from the mastermind of world-renowned designer Alberto Mancini, this superyacht was sold by Fraser to a first-time yacht owner couple from America.

The clients were drawn by the grandeur and general arrangements of Mancini’s iconic 76-meter (249-foot) Tankoa T760 Apache superyacht originally revealed in 2021, but as first-time buyers, they considered the model too ambitious for their entry into the yachting world. As such, they commissioned a custom yacht that replicated the same design but in a smaller LOA.

Measuring 56 meters (184 feet) in length, the jaw-dropping T560 Apache is a floating mansion that captures the essence of a larger vessel in a more compact package. The newcomer is a faithful copy of the T760 Apache superyacht and retains the same slender profile of its predecessor. It boasts layered decks, plenty of outdoor spaces, a spectacular tiered beach area, and an abundance of luxury amenities.

Replicating the grandeur of a super-size superyacht in a more compact footprint while maintaining the same feel of spaciousness and luxury is quite a challenge to undertake, but with expertise, out-of-the-box thinking, and the right techniques, Mancini and the team at Tankoa have managed to complete the task with flying colors.

They not only preserved the design elements and refined elegance of the larger variant but also managed to incorporate expansive interiors typically associated with vessels over 1,000 gross tons into a still-impressive 840-gross-ton volume.

“The tricky part was to maximize internal space with minimal compromises, to create a beach-style, home-away-from-home retreat with expansive external spaces and without the formality that is sometimes found on yachts of this size,” commented Claudio Corvino, sales and business development manager at Tankoa. “The result is truly a nautical marvel, reflecting not only the desires of our American clientele but also the versatility and brilliance of the Tankoa ensemble.”

The T560 Apache superyacht spans four decks, plus an observation deck beneath the mast. It boasts a unique layout that is atypical for a watercraft this size, with five guest cabins on the main deck, which is rarely seen in this LOA, and an expansive owner’s master suite on the upper deck. All accommodations are designed to offer maximum comfort and luxury.

Covering 538 square feet (50 square meters), the owner’s suite is one of the highlights of the design. Besides being impressively commodious, it also provides panoramic views of the seascape and has a private terrace with a large freshwater infinity pool and an alfresco lounge surrounding a firepit.

By relocating all the guest staterooms on the main deck, the designers freed up plenty of space for a gym and spa area amidships below decks and allowed for more generous crew quarters. The wellness-centered area includes a beauty salon, a massage room, a hammam, and a gym that opens up over the water.

Social areas that prioritize fun and friendship on the sea have also been a main concern for the design team. They created a large stepped aft deck with fold-down bulwarks that extend the area to 90 square meters (969 square feet). Just like on the larger T760, the aft deck is envisioned as an upscale resort for friends and family. It is a comfortably casual area perfect for leisure and entertainment with a 4-meter (about 13-foot) saltwater glass pool as the focal point, several sundecks, and ample space for relaxation and activities.

Slanted, smoked glass sliding doors lead into the inside part of the beach club. The designers chose to use glazing in order to create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces and create a deeper connection to the sea.

Besides the casual aft saloon, another design highlight is the convertible dining space with natural forms and colors and soft furniture that can be used as an extension of the lounge space. Another dining area can be found on the bridge deck aft.

The bridge deck also houses an additional area for sun loungers and a barbeque behind the wheelhouse. Meanwhile, the observation deck provides the best views of the horizon.

To enhance the yachting experience and allow the owners and their guests to fully enjoy the water, the designers also integrated generous tender storage on the main deck. It has double openings for the launch and recovery of tenders and jet skis.

In terms of propulsion, the T560 Apache will be equipped with twin Caterpillar engines that will allow it to reach a top speed of 17 knots (19.5 mph or 31.5 kph) and a cruising speed of 15 knots (17 mph or 28 kph). The shipyard also has plans to offer the model as a series with a choice between traditional propulsion and a hybrid system.

According to the shipbuilder, the full-custom T560 Apache superyacht is still in the engineering phase, with delivery scheduled for late 2026.
