The big watch energy from Sunday’s Grammys spread to the streets this week, as seven celebrities stepped out in some swanky wrist candy.

Terry Crews rocked a fresh new Rolex Daytona on the red carpet, while Russell Crowe took to the stage at the 74th Sanremo Music Festival with a rare, discontinued Patek Philippe Nautilus on his wrist. Dune star Timothée Chalamet sported his go-to Panthère at an event in Mexico, while legendary rapper Busta Rhymes donned a red Richard Mille chronograph and Shang-Chi star Simu Liu wore a heroic IWC Portugieser Chronograph.

Even the lesser-known names were channeling BWE this week, with real estate mogul Jason Oppenheimer walking L.A. in a Rolex GMT-Master II and soccer legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic hitting the stage in a Rolex Daytona.

Check out the best watch flexes of the week below.

  • Russell Crowe: Patek Philippe Nautilus

Gladiator star Russell Crowe pulled out a truly epic Patek Philippe for the 74th Sanremo Music Festival this week. The rare Nautilus in question (Ref. 5711/1A-010) was discontinued in 2021 after a 10-year-long production run. As such, the approximately $30,000 timepiece is extremely difficult to acquire. The reference features a coveted 40 mm stainless steel case and bracelet—only 30 percent of Patek’s watches are made in this material each year—as well as a rounded octagonal bezel and a horizontally embossed blue dial with luminescent hands, white gold hour markers, and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. Pre-owned pieces now cost roughly triple the original retail price.

  • Terry Crews: Rolex Sky-Dweller

American actor Terry Crews sported a swish new Rolex at Formula One Team 2024 Livery Reveal on Thursday. Unveiled only last year, the Sky-Dweller (Ref. 336935) is distinguished by a 42 mm Everose gold case, a chocolate brown dial, and an Oyster bracelet. Underneath the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the face shows a date aperture at 3 o’clock and an off-center 24-hour display that allows the wearer to easily keep track of the time in another part of the world. It’ll set you back $50,900.

  • Simu Liu: IWC Portugieser Chronograph

Canadian actor Simu Liu sported a swish IWC Portugieser to Spotify’s best new artist party. The chronograph (ref. IW371610) features a 41 mm case in 18-carat rose gold and a steely gray dial with a minute counter at 12 o’clock and small seconds at 6 o’clock. Powered by the IWC-manufactured 69355 caliber, the watch offers a power reserve of 46 hours. The automatic, self-winding movement is also fully visible through the exhibition caseback. To top it off, the piece is equipped with a chic black alligator strap. It’ll set you back $19,200.

  • Timothée Chalamet: Cartier Panthère

Timothée Chalamet is clearly a Cartier guy. (He’s been an ambassador of the Parisian jeweler since 2021, in fact.) The Dune lead, who has previously been spotted in a Crash and a vintage Cartier brooch, once again wore his mini Panthère to an event in Mexico. The classic timepiece (Ref. WSPN0006) features small 23 mm steel case, a matching steel bracelet, and a blue spinel crown. The square-shaped silver dial is topped with traditional Roman numerals and sword-shaped hands. The best part? It costs just $3,300.

  • Busta Rhymes: Richard Mille RM011 Chronograph

Busta Rhymes busted out an eye-catching Richard Mille for the Global Affair pre-Grammys party. Released back in 2015, the RM011 Chronograph sees Richard Mille’s signature tonneau-shaped case (50 mm) finished in a mix of carbon fiber and striking red quartz. The skeletonized dial shows an oversized date display and a month display. Equipped with an automatic flyback chronograph, the watch offers a power reserve of 55 hours. Originally limited to 50 examples, the red rarity can now sell for more than $300,000 on the secondary market.

  • Jason Oppenheim: Rolex GMT-Master II

Real estate mogul-turned-reality TV star Jason Oppenheim hit the streets of West Hollywood this week with a smart Rolex GMT-Master II on his wrist. A successor to the 1950s model that airline pilots adopted, this reference has an additional 24-hour hand and a two-tone rotatable graduated bezel which means it can display a second time zone. Oppenheim’s model (Ref. 126710BLNR) features a 40 mm Oysterseel case, a blue and black “Batman” bezel, a black dial, and an Oyster bracelet. It is priced at $10,700.

  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Rolex Daytona

Former soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimović’s Rolex is as dazzling as his acrobatic strikes and volleys. Unveiled in 2021, the Daytona (Ref. 116519 LN) features an otherworldly meteorite dial made from an asteroid that exploded in outer space over 1 million years ago. This iteration also sports a 40 mm case in white gold and a monoblock Cerachrom bezel in black ceramic. The Daytona’s recognizable tachymetric scale is engraved in the bezel, while three signature counters sit on the dial. The watch is also equipped Oysterflex rubber strap with Easylink adjustment. The model was originally priced at $34,050, but was discontinued last year. Expect to pay a pretty penny for a pre-owned example, then.
