We’re heading into the silly season, but that doesn’t mean watch choices are getting silly. Quite the contrary is true. This week, all manner of athletes, musicians, and actors rocked some seriously stylish wrist candy.
Mercedes driver George Russell took to the podium at the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix wearing a menacing all-black IWC pilot’s watch, while Thor star Chris Hemsworth was spotted at the same race with a trendy new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak on his wrist. Not to be outdone, rappers Rick Ross and Offset hit the streets wearing impressive timepieces by Rolex and Audemars Piguet, respectively.
Suffice it to say, it’s best to step up your watch game for the holidays. If you need inspiration, Robb Report has compiled a list of the best dress watches for the party season. Otherwise, you can take cues from these seven folks.
Below are the best celeb watch flexes of the week.

George Russell: IWC Pilot’s Watch
George Russell may have come third in the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday but he was sporting some winning IWC wrist candy on the podium. The Mercedes driver, who also happens to be an IWC brand ambassador, was spotted with a Pilot’s Watch Double Chronograph Top Gun Ceratanium (Ref. IW371815) on his wrist. Released in 2019, this menacing timepiece features a 44 mm black Ceratanium case, a black dial with luminescence accents, and a black rubber strap with textile inlay. Priced at $16,100, the watch is very clearly a winner.

Offset: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph 41
Offset’s recent performance on The Tonight Show was almost overshadowed by his outfit. The rapper wore a coveted Audemars Piguet with a preppy Ernest W. Baker cardigan, a Chrome Hearts belt, and Prada shoes and shades. The Royal Oak Chronograph 41 in question was originally produced from 2012 to 2017, making such examples quite hard to come by. The 41 mm case and bracelet are made from 18-carat pink gold, while AP’s signature Grande Tapisserie dial is finished in black. You can expect to pay $90,000 for a similar piece on the second-hand market.
-
Tom Holland: Rolex GMT-Master II
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations may not be a glitzy black-tie event, but Tom Holland still busted out a swish Rolex to speak about his show The Crowded Room. The actor’s GMT-Master II (Ref. 126711CHNR) is affectionately nicknamed the “Root Beer” due to its distinctive colorway. The watch features a black dial and a two-tone Cerachrom bezel with brown and black ceramic inserts. (Remind you of the old A&W root beer logo?) The 40 mm case and Oyster bracelet, meanwhile, showcase a mix of Oystersteel and Everose gold. In addition to the traditional hour, minute, and seconds hands, the timepiece features an arrow-tipped hand that circles the dial once every 24 hours and a bidirectional rotatable 24-hour graduated bezel. A Root Beer like Holland’s will set you back $14,550.

Rick Ross: Rolex Datejust
Rick Ross is fast becoming a regular on our watch roundups, and for good reason: He seems to rock a different iced-out timepiece each week. This particular rarity is a Rolex Datejust 41 that has been set with dozens of carats of diamonds. Models like this, which are typically customized after being purchased from an authorized dealer, can command up to $45,000. That’s far from the priciest piece in the rapper’s collection, though: He was recently spotted wearing Jacob & Co.’s bonkers $20 million Billionaire Timeless Treasure. Let’s see what he busts out next week, then.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce: Richard Mille RM 07-04
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is one of the greatest sprinters of all time. In her signature 100 meters, the Jamaican runner has amassed more gold and silver than any other woman in history. She has also teamed up with a watch brand worthy of those feats. Fraser-Pryce was just named an ambassador for Richard Mille and is preparing for the upcoming Paris Olympics with the brand’s first women’s sports watch on her wrist. The RM 07-04 Automatic Sport is featherlight (36 grams) yet robust enough for active athletes. It also comes in six radiant colorways. Fraser-Pryce opted for a Quartz TPT model with a salmon case. The watch is priced at $185,000.

Chris Hemsworth: Audemars Piguet x Alyx Royal Oak
Thor star Chris Hemsworth swapped his trusty hammer for a trendy new Audemars Piguet before heading to the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The timepiece in question is one of three limited-edition Royal Oak models that AP made in collaboration with designer Matthew Williams of Alyx fame. The Aussie actor’s watch is crafted almost entirely from 18-carat yellow gold. The double-signed dial features the full name of Williams’s streetwear label (1017 ALYX 92M) at six o’clock, the AP logo at 12 o’clock, and three minimalist chronograph counters. Thor’s Royal Oak was limited to 202 examples and cost between $73,500 and $90,000 depending on the size.

Prince William: Omega Seamaster Diver 300m
The Prince of Wales carried out royal duties in London this week with his trusty Omega Seamaster Diver 300m on his wrist. It’s not the first time the Prince has rocked the stainless-steel timepiece, of course. He was reportedly gifted the watch by his mother, the late Princess Diana, at age 15 and has been wearing it for over 20 years. The legendary dive watch always makes a splash, though. William’s is a mid-size quartz model with a blue dial, and it paired perfectly with his navy suit. If you want to emulate the Prince’s style, Omega recently released seven new “summer blue” Seamasters.
