The Italian Sea Group has announced the resale of the first hull in Giorgio Armani’s 72-metre (236-foot) Admiral superyacht series, Project Metamorphosis. Initially launched in 2020, the project was developed by Giorgio Armani and his team in collaboration with the style centre of Admiral, a brand of The Italian Sea Group.
Initially scheduled for presentation at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, the Giorgio Armani Admiral 72’s delivery in the United States has been postponed to 2025 due to upgrades requested by the new owner. Although the reason for the resale remains undisclosed, the in-build yacht was listed at an asking price of €105 million (.c$114,100,000).
Work on the second Admiral 72 is already underway, with delivery slated for Q3 2025 and its debut planned for the Monaco Yacht Show 2025.
The resale negotiation, facilitated by The Italian Sea Group, involved Michel Chryssicopoulos, global managing partner of IYC, representing the seller, and Darrell Hall of YachtZoo, representing the new buyer.
Giovanni Costantino, founder and CEO of The Italian Sea Group, commented, “The sale of the megayacht Admiral 72 | Giorgio Armani is a result of an exciting partnership of which I am extremely proud. Moreover, it represents further confirmation of our expansion in the Americas with the sale of the fifth Admiral mega yacht.”
“Giorgio Armani, synonymous with timeless elegance and refinement, with his stylistic vision, has contributed to further increasing our aesthetic sensitivity.”
