This yacht is like what would happen if Star Wars had been set at sea.
Estrella has a unique tri-hull design and was designed by a young up-and-coming designer.
It hasn’t even been made yet, but has already won a significant award.

Yeojin Jung is a young aspiring yacht designer from South Korea.
While she’s only just getting started in her career, her Star Wars-inspired design has already won a prestigious award.
This yacht aimed to challenge the sometimes one-note designs we see in the superyacht world.
“Traditional and practical design is influential in the yacht industry, however, fresh design can break down the boundaries,” she said.
And the Estrella certainly stands out.
The yacht is 342 feet long with a main beam of 46 feet.
Its tri-hull design gives it a unique silhouette, similar to a Y-wing fighter from Star Wars.
The Star Wars Disney cruise already exists, but this is a more subtle nod to the franchise.
The large main hull gives passengers a more immersive sailing journey to better appreciate the natural beauty of the seas.
The type of passenger Jung aims to attract is the next generation of UHNWI: ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
“A new and young generation of UHNWI is increasingly pursuing unique experiences and culture compared to existing things,” Jung says.
The boat has three generously-sized sections.
It’s assumed that the central segment is where communal areas will be, while the two side hulls will hold personal cabins.
The floater components are connected to the central section by a hull-spanning bridge.
It doesn’t take an engineer to spot that this design is a bit imbalanced.
But Jung has thoroughly researched her design, equipping the main hull with fin stabilizers to counteract any tilting.
Estrella will have a cruising speed of 15 knots (27 km/h / 17 mph), made more for leisure than speed.
The hull is aluminium and the boat runs on a hybrid diesel engine.
Jung’s design won an A’Design Award, one of the highest achievements in design one can win.
While it’s still in its concept stages, hopefully a Star Wars-obsessed millionaire will commission Estrella to be built and taken to the seas.
