Welcome to This Week on Hagerty Marketplace, a recurring recap of the previous week’s most noteworthy cars and significant sales from the Hagerty Marketplace online auctions.

Some cool vintage rides sold over the last week on the Hagerty Marketplace, and three luxurious expressions of classic motoring made the cut for this installment of This Week On Hagerty Marketplace.

Hagerty Marketplace

Sold for $24,075

This strong showing for a Rad-Era, long-wheelbase Silver Spur is likely because of the extensive maintenance and the condition of its luxurious interior. Brakes and suspension can be a challenge on Rolls Royce vehicles, but this Silver Spur has two new suspension accumulators, and two brake accumulators. The interiors show their age over time, unless the leather hides are regularly conditioned and the glossy wood veneers are stored indoors: This example seems to push all the right buttons when it comes to those interior motives.

With only 22,000 miles on the clock and an admirable level of attention bestowed to this Roller over the years, we hope the next owner cares for it as much as the last two have for the last 36 years.

1967 Buick GS-400 Sport Coupe
Hagerty Marketplace

Sold for $27,820

One of the lesser-known derivatives of General Motors’ A-Body platform is the Buick Skylark, but the performance-minded GS model has earned a special place in hearts of muscle car fanatics. This example from 1967 wears the GS’ red graphics especially well with its dark blue paint, and the redline tires only add to the appeal. It’s not uncommon to find GM muscle cars looking this good in photos, but its a rarity when paired with an owner who did enough long-distance driving to upgrade to an overdrive transmission for effortless highway cruising.

Aside from the overdrive automatic gearbox and aftermarket ancillary gauges, this GS-400 looks like a well-preserved piece of automotive history that’s ready to drive and be seen at shows.

1955 Imperial Newport Hardtop Coupe
Hagerty Marketplace

Sold for $53,500

With iconic styling from Virgil Exner and a name no longer associated with the Chrysler brand, the first generation Imperial offered impressive grand touring luxury and performance from its first-generation Hemi V-8 engine. This mostly original example still sports its unique black and red interior, and fat whitewall tires look great on its Motor Wheel wire wheels. Factory options like air conditioning are complemented by a modern audio system that’s been concealed from casual observers.

While that air conditioner is currently inoperable, there are very few flaws on this early piece of Hemi V-8 history. The colors, options, and steller design of the 1955 Chrysler Imperial Newport make it a coupe to adore and enjoy, and that’s what we hope the new owner does with it.
