According to reports, she had allegedly demanded a separate house and a car from the Pune district collector before assuming charge as assistant collector.

Mumbai: Facing heat over alleged misuse of power, Puja Khedkar, the probationary IAS officer in Maharashtra reportedly owns seven flats, four luxury cars and property worth Rs 17 crore. Khedkar, the 2022-batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre, is under fire over several allegations, including the use of red-blue beacon light, VIP number plate and a “Government of Maharashtra” sticker on her private luxury Audi car.

According to reports, Khedkar owns a gold watch worth Rs 17 lakh, 110 acres land and six plots. The IAS officer’s father Dilip Khedkar, a former state government officer, while contesting the recent Lok Sabha election, had declared his property valued at Rs 40 crore. However, Khedkar appeared for the civil services exam under the OBC category, where the creamy layer certificate limitation is an annual parental income of Rs 8 lakh.

Meanwhile, Khedkar’s disability and Other Backward Class (OBC) certificates are also under scanner. She appeared for the civil services exam under the OBC and visually impaired categories and also submitted a mental illness certificate.
According to an official, Khedkar allegedly submitted fake disability and OBC certificates to clear the civil services exam. The official also alleged that she was asked to report at the AIIMS, Delhi for verification of her disability certificate but she did not turn up, citing COVID-19 infection.
